Tavola 4:
Vignetta 1:
Indossa uno zaino in spalla.
Vignetta 2:
Tavola 5:
Vignetta 1:
Tipo di inquadratura: Campo larghissimo aeroporto.
Descrizione scena: Davide molto “piccolo”.
Didascalia superiore: STAVO PENSANDO AL RUMORE DI FONDO DEGLI AEROPORTI. LE MILLE VOCI, INDISTINGUIBILI, STAVO PENSANDO A COME MI DIA ALLA TESTA, A QUANTO SIA ASSORDANTE.
Vignetta 2:
Vignetta 2:
Solo didascalia: SONO DI NUOVO IN AEROPORTO, DI NUOVO PARTO, DI NUOVO DICO SIA L’ULTIMA VOLTA. CAZZO, SPERO VERAMENTE SIA L’ULTIMA VOLTA. DUE, TRE, QUATTRO MESI…
Vignetta 3:
Didascalia inferiore: QUANTO ANCORA DEVO STARE LONTANO DA TE?
FINE.

Page 4:
Panel 1:
Shot: Medium Close-Up of Davide, side or ¾ view. Slightly low-angle shot (the camera about half a meter below the protagonist’s face).
Description: Davide has a very somber face; a strong sense of unease can be felt (accentuated by the shot). The panel is “long” and the background is the airport (I took Bari’s as a reference). He is wearing a backpack.
Panel 2:
Shot: Detail.
Description: Davide’s hand holding his cell phone screen up to the boarding pass scanner, before the security checks.
Panel 3:
Shot: Detail, straight-down shot (bird’s-eye view) of the security conveyor belt.
Description: Shot from above: on the left we see the conveyor belt with a small suitcase (the same one Davide had before) and another tray with a belt, a phone, a black wallet (the same one we will later find in the story “The Wait”). On the right of the shot Davide is seen taking off his backpack.
Panel 4:
Shot: Wide shot of the airport.
Description: The shot faces the gate head-on. Wide shot of the airport gate, still empty. We only see people sitting farther ahead; the gate number is A4. The screen does not yet show any destination.
Page 5:
Panel 1:
Shot: Extreme wide shot of the airport.
Description: Davide is very “small.” A large crowd of people, though it creates no confusion; gate A4 is still empty. There is, however, a lot of coming and going.
Upper caption: I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE BACKGROUND NOISE OF AIRPORTS. THE THOUSAND VOICES, INDISTINGUISHABLE; I WAS THINKING ABOUT HOW IT MAKES MY HEAD SPIN, HOW DEAFENING IT IS.
Panel 2:
Shot: Medium shot of Davide, in profile.
Description: Davide walks calmly through the aisles of the gate; he is alone; he goes to take up a position to avoid the long line; he does not have “PRIORITY” and hates long lines.
Page 6:
Panel 1:
Shot: Wide shot of Davide sitting, front view.
Description: Davide is sitting in the lotus position, with his suitcase and backpack beside him. His expression is almost resigned; he seems to be meditating, with no one around him.
Panel 2:
Caption only: AGAIN I’M AT THE AIRPORT, AGAIN I’M LEAVING, AGAIN I SAY IT’S THE LAST TIME. FUCK, I REALLY HOPE IT’S THE LAST TIME. TWO, THREE, FOUR MONTHS…
Panel 3:
Shot: Extreme wide shot.
Description: Airplane in flight, in profile. It has just taken off; the sky is very clear.
Lower caption: HOW MUCH LONGER DO I HAVE TO STAY AWAY FROM YOU?
THE END.
Amorumò was born from a visceral need for something new, different. I felt an irrepressible need to take stock of myself, of the perception I have of Sidio both as an author and as a person.
Curiously, the introduction was the last of the stories to be written, because I noticed in my repeated rereadings that Part I needed an initial breath, or rather, a sigh, the kind you let out before starting something important, the kind you let out before every departure.
