Javokhir Sindarov ha vinto il Torneo dei Candidati con una performance stratosferica. Ha vent’anni, è sfrontato, preparato e sembra inarrestabile.
Ho ammesso che ho tifato Caruana, ma non posso che essere felice nel vedere il più giovane match mondiale della storia.
La sensazione, anche sull’onda dell’entusiasmo, è che sia destinato a battere Gukesh e dare il via ad un lungo regno. Ma, entusiasmo a parte, sarà una sfida interessante, tra un giocatore posizionale, calmo, posato e un altro dinamico, aggressivo, rapido.
Ho amato l’anno d’oro di Gukesh, la sua calma, compostezza, la sua scalata. Ho tifato per lui contro Ding Liren, è bellissimo vedere un giovane scacchista farsi valere così, vincere i Candidati lasciando alle spalle Nakamura, Caruana, Nepomnjaščij. Allo stesso modo Sindarov ha lasciato dietro Giri, Caruana, Nakamura, ha vinto la World Cup e dominato in entrambi i tornei con una forza e determinazione assurda. Vedere la sua vittoria (anzi le sue 6 vittorie) è stato divertente, emozionante.
Il dinamismo, la sua iniziativa “a tutti i costi“, la velocità di risposta.

Ha dimostrato però una velocità a volte esagerata, azzarderei avventata, come ad esempio nella seconda patta con Blübaum. Ho notato che è stato più volte in vantaggio di tempo rispetto agli avversari, dimostrando una grandissima capacità di agire con calcolo preciso. La mia preoccupazione è che, in un momento di forma come questo non sia un problema, ma lo diventerà con un calo che naturalmente arriverà.
Certo che allo stato attuale è quasi impossibile vedere la fine della scalata, c’è chi lo ha paragonato al giovane Kasparov, chi a Nepomnjaščij proprio per la sua velocità, una cosa è certa: è sulla strada giusta.

Javokhir Sindarov has won the Candidates Tournament with a stratospheric performance. He is twenty years old, he is bold, prepared and seems unstoppable.
I admitted that I rooted for Caruana, but I can only be happy to see the youngest world match in history.
